Welcome to High Desert Shooters
The purpose of this
website is to promote and facilitate the participation of individuals
residing in the tri-city area of Prescott, Prescott Valley, and
Chino Valley, Arizona who enjoy indoor recreational shooting.
Tuesday evening throughout the year various types of handgun matches
will be held at the Prescott Shooting Range & Gun Club at 1200 Iron Springs Road, Prescott, AZ 86305. The matches begin at 5:30 pm and usually last until 7:30 pm.
There are many scenarios to keep you coming back for more excitement. For the match
scenario for any particular Tuesday evening, click on the Match
Schedule icon at the top of this page. For detailed match scenario descriptions,
click on the Match Scenarios icon (Not all scenarios are listed). For match results, click on
Match Results icon. For any questions not covered by this website,
please contact Pat Kelly at email@example.com
Participants must have previous experience shooting organized Pistol Matches.
In the interest of fair competition to all: Except for the rare occasion, kindly refrain from
the use of PCC's, rimfire Carbines or Rifles in our Matches, all of which are designed for
the use of a handgun. Any weapon that is fired from a shoulder is considered a PCC by our
League regardless of the designation or description assigned by the weapon's manufacturer.
The use of this style of weapon will require that the user must shoot from a greater distance
and will be required to fire more rounds than the handgun users. PCC's are not practical in
all of our Matches. It is incumbent upon the potential PCC shooter to check with the Match
Director or RSO the week prior to the Match for usage applicability. As of 3/16/21 handguns
equipped with any Dot Sight and/or Laser sight will be required to shoot from a farther
distance and will occasionally have to fire more rounds, Match dependent.
The matches begin at 5:30 pm and usually last until 7:30 pm. Due to the pandemic, early
arrivers must wait outside after checking in.
